Universal single-stage HSI for PSC and ECMx

Igniter

120 VAC nitride (kit includes the igniter). Not spark DSI.

Motor

PSC or ECMx (constant-torque / X13-style). Still not a 9-speed tap card. Still not serial communicating VS.

Replace list

  • 550+ crosses on the WR 50M56X list — the current single-stage universal when the blower is PSC or ECMx.
  • Jobs that used to take 50A55-843 / 50M56U-843 where the motor is a tap-less constant-torque, not a communicating serial ECM.

Will not replace

  • 9-speed Goodman/Amana tap motors (F01–F09 on AR9T96 / AR9S96 / GR9T96 / GR9S96).
  • ComfortBridge serial ECM, Infinity / Evolution, iComfort, ComfortLink, EcoNet.
  • Two-stage IFCs and outdoor inverter boards.

Field notes

  • This is the newer WR universal. 7-segment diagnostics. Use the WR Connect / carton cross before you cut a harness.
  • ECMx ≠ 9-speed tap ≠ ComfortBridge serial. If the motor plug is a tap harness, walk away from this carton.

  • Read the silk

    Classic 80% Goodman LED. This is the plate where 50A55-843 / ICM2811 actually show up — if the silk matches.
